2019: A team captain, Maier earned All-MPSF Honorable Mention and scored 18 goals in his senior season... Scored in 14 games with four multiple-goal outings... Scored three goals in the NCAA Tournament.
2018: A team captain, Maier picked up a spot on the All-America Third Team and was named to the All-MPSF Second Team as a junior... Scored 36 goals... Scored twice during the NCAA Tournament... Scored in 23 different games with 11 multiple-goal outings... Matched career high with a hat trick vs. Air Force on Oct. 12.
2017: Maier earned All-America Honorable Mention and All-MPSF Honorable Mention as a sophomore... Scored 26 goals... Scored in 17 games with eight multiple-goal outings... Set career high with a hat trick vs. Long Beach State.
2016: Maier was named the MPSF Newcomer of the Year as a true freshman, becoming the first Trojan to win the award... Earned All-America Honorable Mention and All-MPSF Honorable Mention... Scored 21 goals in his first season... Scored in 16 games with five two-goal outings... First career goals came in a two-goal outing in a win vs. Whittier on Sept. 11... Named MPSF Newcomer of the Week twice (Sept. 26 and Oct. 31)... Scored three goals in the NCAA Tournament.
HIGH SCHOOL: Maier was named the San Gabriel Valley Player of the Year as a senior out of Damien High in La Verne, Calif.... Also was a first-team pick as a junior in 2014... Played club for Foothill Water Polo Club.
NATIONAL TEAMS: Maier was a member of the USA Cadet and Youth National Teams... Won gold at the 2014 UANA Junior Pan American Championship.
PERSONAL: Maier is majoring in human biology... Parents are Lisa and Kurt... Has one brother, Corey... Father Kurt played baseball at Cal Poly Pomona...
