THIS SEASON: Emmett Pernecky enters his first season at USC.
HIGH SCHOOL: Pernecky was a co-captain on Loyola High’s 2018 league championship team... Reached CIF semifinals in 2016 and 2018... As a swimmer, was a member of two CIF Division I championship teams... A member of the 200 medley relay team that set the California state record and the CIF Division I record... Also swam on the 400 freestyle relay team that set the CIF DI record... Played club for Trojan Water Polo and Rose Bowl.
PERSONAL: Pernecky is majoring in business and hopes to start his own business after graduation... Parents are Mike and Kathleen... Has four sisters, Monica, Colleen, Marie and Audrey... Monica and Colleen also attended USC... Enjoys golfing and going to the beach in his free time... Lists Kobe Bryant as his biggest sports hero... Has always wanted to learn to surf... Hopes to travel to Europe and Alaska... Born Sept. 6, 2000.
