Doherty did not play as a sophomore and retired from lacrosse following the fall season.
2014
As a freshman, Doherty appeared in eight, and started four, games… scored four goals, had two assists, and finished with eight draw controls, seven ground balls, and three caused turnovers… scored two goals and collected an assist in a 15-10 win over UC Davis (March 14)… had three ground balls and three draw controls against LIU Brooklyn (March 9).
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB
Doherty was a four-year lacrosse letterwinner at Massapequa High School… named US Lacrosse First Team All-American and All-Long Island League as a senior… chosen to the All-County Team as a freshman and sophomore… played one year each with the Long Island Yellow Jackets Club and the Long Island Liberty… led Massapequa girls basketball to the Nassau AA Championship and was named MVP of the title game.
