Bio
2025: After moving to the offensive side of the ball, Bulabalavu will compete for playing on the offensive line as a redshirt freshman in 2024.
2024: Bulabalavu saw action in one game on the defensive line (Utah State) as a true freshman in 2024.
HIGH SCHOOL: Bulabalavu, a four-star recruit, was ranked the No. 31 player in the state of California by 247Sports, No. 50 by ESPN, No. 74 by Rivals and No. 91 by On3. He was touted as the No. 42 defensive lineman in the nation by 247Sports, No. 44 by ESPN and No. 124 by On3.
He finished his high school career with 60.5 sacks, which is believed to be among the top 10 totals in state history and a San Diego Section all-time best.
As a senior in 2023, he recorded 99 tackles, including 20 for loss (with 19 sacks), 20 QB hurries, 2 PBUs, 2 forced fumbles and 1 INT. He helped lead Army and Navy Academy to the 2023 CIF San Diego Section Division V-AA title game. Bulabalavu was named the 2023 Costal League Defensive Player of the Year and earned placement on the 2023 All-CIF San Diego Section First Team, the 2023 Cal-Hi Sports All-State Small Schools Team and the 2023 All-Costal League First Team. He began the season on the San Diego Prep Football Preseason Watch List and SBLive's 2023 Preseason All-San Diego Section Team. Bulabalavu was invited to the 2023 Under Armour Next Camp Series and represented San Diego while participating in the 2023 Makasi Bowl. He was nominated as a 2023 National Football Foundation Scholar Athlete and won the 2023 Prep Pigskin Iron Hog award.
As a junior in 2022, he tallied 108 tackles, including 30 for loss (with a state-leading 23.5 sacks), 53 QB hurries, 2 PBUs, a blocked punt and a blocked field goal. Bulabalavu recorded the most sacks in the state of California over the 2022 and 2023 seasons (42.5). He was selected as the 2022 Sunset League Defensive Player of the Year and was also named to the 2022 All-CIF San Diego Section Second Team, the 2022 San Diego Football Network All-Prep Team, the 2022 Daygofootball.com North County First Team and the 2022 Prep Pigskin Report All-51 Team. Prior to the season, he earned placement on the San Diego Prep Football Preseason Watch List.

Bulabalavu also played rugby and competed in track and field (triple jump, 110-meter hurdles, shot put and discus).
PERSONAL: He is majoring in Urban Studies and Planning at USC. His cousin, Tuli Letuligasenoa, was a defensive lineman at Washington from 2018-23.
