Bobby Gojuangco, who was part of USC's run to the NCAA Championships final in 2015 before pursuing a professional career in the private sector, is in his second year as USC’s assistant men’s golf coach. He joined the staff Aug. 10, 2018.
"I'm excited to have Bobby back at USC," Zambri said. "He has a passion for golf and is a student of the game. In addition, Bobby will be a great sounding board for all things for our players as he graduated just a short time ago."
In his first year as an assistant coach in 2019, he helped guide the Trojans to three wins and a return to the NCAA Championships after the program missed in 2018. Justin Suh, a former teammate of Gojuangco's, earned All-American first team honors while Kaito Onishi earned All-American second team notice.
Gojuangco played for three seasons at USC (2014-16), his Trojan career highlighted by a 2015 junior season in which he started every tournament. He played a key role in Troy's program-best runners-up finish at the 2015 NCAA Championships, winning his quarterfinal and semifinal matches against Texas and Illinois, respectively.
He finished his junior season with a 72.77 stroke average, posting 10 rounds in the 60s and five top 20 finishes, including three in the top 11. He saw reserve action as a 2014 sophomore and a 2016 senior and played at San Diego State as a 2013 freshman.
Gojuangco graduated from USC with a bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science in 2016 and has spent the last two years as an analyst at a San Diego-based law firm.
He replaced Justin Silverstein, who served on Zambri's staff for two seasons before being named head coach for USC Women's Golf team earlier this summer.
