High School: Retterer prepped at the Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, N.J. … represented the Red Bank Aquarockets at the 2019 YMCA Long Course National Championships, placing second in the 200m back (2:06.41) and helping his club to the YMCA team title for the second year in a row … He was a finalist in the 200m back (1:45.84) at the 2019 YMCA Short Course National Championships and was a two-time finalist at the 2018 YMCA Long Course in the 200m back (2:07.65) and the 800m free (8:39.42) ... 3x NJ High School Team State Champion ... - Retterer provided depth for the Trojans in the backstroke events, finishing 14th in the 100y back (48.06/48.36) and 19th in the 200y back (1:45.63/1:46.23). He was also 32nd in the 50y free (20.89).
- Placed fourth in the 100y back (49.40) and 200y back (1:47.57) against Utah (Feb. 12-13).
