THIS SEASON: Connor Farren enters his third season at USC.
2014-15 SEASON: Farren won the Sherwood Cup singles consolation title as a sophomore... Went 8-5 overall in singles as a sophomore, going 2-1 in dual matches... Was 1-1 at the No. 6 position and 1-0 at No. 3... In doubles, went 12-5 overall with a 4-3 mark in dual matches... Was 8-2 overall and 4-2 in dual matches with Nick Crystal... Also went 4-2 with Rob Bellamy and 0-1 with Eric Johnson... In the fall, reached the Battle in the Bay singles quarterfinals.
2013-14 SEASON: Farren was named to the ITA National Team Indoors All-Tournament Team at No. 2 doubles with Roberto Quiroz... Also paired with Quiroz during USC’s run to the 2014 NCAA Championship... Went 8-6 overall in singles, going 6-5 in dual matches... Played primarily at the No. 4 position, going 2-4 there... Also played at No. 2 (1-0), No. 3 (2-0), No. 5 (1-0) and No. 6 (0-1)... Clinched three dual matches... In doubles, went 10-3 overall and 8-2 in dual matches with Quiroz... Did not compete in the fall.
HIGH SCHOOL: Farren is a 2013 graduate of K-12 Online… Won 2013 Doubles Title at Mexico F7 Futures… Won first round of 2011 US Open Junior Tennis Championship… Also won the first round of doubles in the 2012 Junior Championships in Wimbledon.
PERSONAL: Connor Farren was born on October 3rd, 1994… Son of Mark and Jeannie… Has one sister, Courtney… Lists Roger Federer as his biggest sports hero because of his attitude and consistency… His father Mark played tennis for San Diego and was on the pro tour… Uncle Derek Farren also played on tennis pro tour… Lists ‘The Dark Knight’ as his favorite movie… Hopes to play professional tennis after graduation… Majoring in policy, planning and development.
