THIS SEASON: Jack Jaede is in his final season at USC... In the fall, went 7-3 in singles and won the Jack Kramer Collegiate singles title... Entered the fall with his highest career doubles ranking at No. 3 in the nation with partner Laurens Verboven.
2017-18: Jaede finished his junior campaign as an ITA All-American in doubles after closing the season ranked No. 10 in the nation in doubles with partner Laurens Verboven... Also earned All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention... Highest career doubles rank was No. 7 with Verboven on April 24... Went 15-16 overall in singles, going 10-8 in dual matches... Played at the No. 2 (2-0), No. 3 (3-3), No. 4 (3-2), No. 5 (1-3) and No. 6 (1-0) positions... Had the match-clinching singles win vs. Oregon... In doubles, went 33-9 overall, going 20-6 in dual matches... Was 30-8 overall with Verboven, going 20-6 in dual matches playing at the No. 1 (3-2), No. 2 (16-4) and No. 3 (1-0) positions... Also went 3-1 overall with Tanner Smith... Jaede and Verboven twice went on eight-match win streaks and carried a 10-match streak into the NCAA Team Quarterfinals... Earned 5-8 seed in the NCAA Doubles field, falling in the Round of 32... Jaede and Verboven won the Sherwood Cup and Pacific Coast Doubles championships... In the fall, Jaede reached the ITA Southwest Regional singles quarterfinal and the doubles semifinals with Smith.
2016-17: Jaede earned his first career singles ranking in his sophomore season, ranked No. 119 on Feb. 8, 2017... Earned All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention... Clinched a team-best nine dual matches... Went 24-8 overall in singles, going 20-4 in dual matches... Played primarily at the No. 4 position (11-4)... Also played at No. 3 (1-0) and No. 5 (8-0)... Held a 13-match singles win streak from Jan. 21-March 14... In doubles, went 23-7 overall with a 20-4 mark in dual matches... Was 19-5 overall and 18-4 in dual matches with Rob Bellamy, with a 17-4 mark at the No. 3 position... Also went 4-2 with Thibault Forget, going 2-0 at the No. 3 spot.
2015-16 SEASON: Jaede opened his first season at USC ranked No. 47 in the nation in doubles with Max de Vroome... Won all three of his singles matches during the NCAA Team Tournament... Went 20-9 overall in singles, going 9-4 in dual matches... Went 5-2 at the No. 5 position and 4-2 at No. 6... Clinched USC’s win vs. Grand Canyon... Reached the semifinals at the Sherwood Cup... In doubles, went 13-12 overall, going 9-7 with de Vroome... The pair went 7-4 in dual matches, playing primarily at the No. 2 spot (6-4)... Also paired with Tanner Smith (3-5) and Rob Bellamy (1-0).
HIGH SCHOOL: Jaede is a 2014 graduate of Brisbane Boys’ College in Australia... Won school, regional, state and national competitions... Also placed fourth in a world competition... Competed for the National Academy from 2013 to present... An honor student.
PERSONAL: Jack Jaede was born Nov. 14, 1997 in Hong Kong... Parents are Ruby and Bill... Has one brother, Ryan... His grandfather John Lee played Australian Rules Football for the Hawthorn Hawks... Enjoys fishing and surfing in his free time... Lists Lleyton Hewitt as his biggest sports hero... Has always wanted to skydive... Hopes to play professional tennis after graduation... Majoring in economics.
