Baylee Johnson enters her first season as a setter for the Women of Troy… a spring-admit and early-enrollee, Johnson played spring volleyball with the Trojans.
HIGH SCHOOL
Johnson prepped at Centerville High School in Dayton, Ohio, under head coach Yoon Ha… Ohio All-State, first-team All-District, and Player of the Year honors in the Greater Western Ohio Conference… a 2015 Volleyball Magazine Fab 50 selection… a 2014 PrepVolleyball.com Top 50 Junior… member of the 2013 USAV High Performance All-Tournament team.
CLUB VOLLEYBALL
Johnson played six years for Northern Kentucky Volleyball Club under head coach Kathy Kennedy… also played for Extec, MVA, and Cinci-Classics volleyball clubs… helped her 16s team to a seventh-place national finish.
PERSONAL
Baylee Lee Johnson was born on April 3, 1997, in Cheyenne, Wyo.… parents are Roy and Shelley Johnson… has three sisters, Allee, Sydnee, and Scottee… mother Shelley played basketball at Northern Colorado (1988-92) and was inducted into the UNC Athletics Hall of Fame in 2006… father Roy won national championships in boxing… sister Allee played volleyball at the University of Hawai’i, Hilo… lists NBA Hall of Fame guard Michael Jordan as her role model… enjoys boxing and jujitsu in her spare time… majoring in international relations.
