2009: Roach sat out his first season at USC due to NCAA transfer rules.
AT CAL: Roach appeared in 26 matches in 2008 at Cal... Scored four goals with 14 steals, 11 ejections earned, six assists and two field blocks... Had a team-high two goals in an MPSF match at Pepperdine... Redshirted the 2007 season.
NATIONAL TEAMS: Twice selected to the US Youth National Team... Won silver in the 2006 Pan-Pacific Games in Calgary.
HIGH SCHOOL: Roach was an All-American and an all-league first-team pick as a senior at Soquel High... Also named to All-Central Coast Section second team and to the CCS All-Star Team... Runner-up for the Santa Cruz County Athlete of the Year... Named league[apos]s Junior of the Year and was an all-league first-teamer... Also earned All-CCS honorable mention... Team won three straight league titles... Played club for Lamorinda Water Polo... An honor student.
PERSONAL: Roach is an intended Music Industries Major... Parents are Joe and Kathleen... Is the youngest of four siblings... His grandfather played football and wrestled at the Naval Academy... Is an electronic music DJ in his spare time... Born Nov. 6, 1989.
