THIS SEASON: Troy Furniss enters his third season of competition at USC.
2018: Furniss scored 12 goals as a redshirt sophomore... Scored in nine different games with two multiple-goal outings... Set career high with a hat trick vs. Concordia on Sept. 6.
2017: Furniss scored one goal as a redshirt freshman... First career goal as a Trojan came vs. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Sept. 2.
2016: Furniss redshirted his first season at USC.
HIGH SCHOOL: Furniss was a two-time all-league first team pick out of Villa Park High... Named to 2015 All-American ninth team... Also as a senior, earned all-county and All-CIF second team honors... Named to the All-CIF third team as a junior... Set school record with 12 goals scored in a single game... Ranked No. 7 all-time in career scoring at Villa Park High with 236... Also added 92 assists, 168 steals and 87 ejections drawn in his career... Played club for SOCAL and SET... An honor student.
PERSONAL: Furniss is majoring in business... Parents are Bruce and Sharon... Has three siblings, Kyle, Brooke and Quinn... Father Bruce was an All-American swimmer at USC and won two Olympic gold medals at the 1976 Games... Uncle Steve also swam at USC and was a bronze medalist in the 1976 Olympic Games... Uncle Craig also played water polo at USC... Uncle Chip also was an All-American swimmer at USC... Brother Kyle and sister Brooke also attend USC... Enjoys going to the beach, hanging out with friends and watching movies in his free time... Has always wanted to skydive... Hopes to travel to the Bahamas, Greece, Italy, Croatia, Australia and Germany... Is an active volunteer for Swim With Mike... Lists his father as his biggest sports hero... Born Dec. 18, 1997.
