Bio
THIS YEAR: Redshirt junior Charity Bruce will add to the Trojans[apos] depth in the sprints.
2013:
Ran a season-best 12:07 in the 100m dash at the Pac-12 Championships on May 11 to place 18th. Had a best 200m race of 26:25 on March 23 at the Trojan Invitational
2012: Had a season-best 100m time of 12.18 in the season opener at the Rossi Relays on Feb. 25. Her best 200m time was 25.35 set at the Ben Brown Invitational on March 10.
2011: Redshirted her first season at USC.
High School: Bruce is a 2010 graduate of Episcopal High in Baton Rouge, La. She holds the school records in the 55m, 100m, and 200m. Won the 100m dash with a time of 12.00 at the District 7 2-A Championships. Placed second in the 100m dash at the 1A-2A Louisiana State Championships with a time of 12.24w...Also took second in the 200m with a PR of 24.96. Placed fourth in the 55m dash with a time of 7.52 at the Louisiana High School Indoor Championships and ran a PR in the prelims of 7.45 for the third-fastest qualifier. Helped lead Episcopal to two state track and field championships.
Personal: Charity Nicole Clynique Bruce was born on October 18, 1991 in Vicksburg, Miss...Her parents are Clyde and Pam and she has three siblings, Brilliant, Zoe and Joshua...Her hobbies include reading, shopping, traveling and spending quality time with her family and friends...Her favorite food is pasta...Her favorite actor is Denzel Washington and her favorite movie is Pursuit of Happiness...She is a Sociology major at USC and is a two-time Dean[apos]s List student...Received the Dr. Thomas Kilgore Honor Society Award (2010-11).
