Bio
THIS YEAR:
Freshman Mia Brahe-Pedersen (Mee-uh Brah-hay Pedd-er-son) is in her first season as a sprinter on the USC track and field team.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Brahe-Pedersen is a 2024 graduate of Lake Oswego High in Lake Oswego, Ore. She was a two-time Oregon Girls Gatorade Track & Field Athlete of the Year winner, a 22-time All-American and 11-time national champion. Brahe-Pederson has PRs of 11.00 in the 100m and 22.43 in the 200m, both which rank fourth on the all-time high school list and are Oregon high school records. She was injured and did not compete outdoors her senior season, yet still finished her high school career with 12 state titles, including winning the 100m and 200m dash titles three times. Her high school won the last three Oregon state team titles (2022-24). Brahe-Pedersen reached the 2023 USATF Championships final in both the 100m and 200m. At the 2023 NACAC U23 Championships in Costa Rica, she won the 100m, 200m and was on USA’s winning 4x100m relay team.
PERSONAL:
Mia was born on Nov. 28, 2005 in Mission Viejo, Calif…Her parents are Christian Brahe-Pedersen and Pamela Cosper…Mia was the first high school track and field athlete to sign an NIL deal with Nike…Her interests include baking and cooking….Her favorite food is sushi….After USC she would like to compete professionally in track and field…She is majoring in Human Biology at USC.
