Tera Reed enters her first season at USC as a grad transfer from VCU.
2020-21 SENIOR SEASON AT VCU
Reed started 23 games and appeared in 24 as a senior at VCU... Named to All-Atlantic 10 Third Team... Averaged 11.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game... Shot 82.8 percent from the free-throw line.
2019-20 JUNIOR SEASON AT VCU
Was a First Team All-Atlantic 10 selection...Named to the VaSID All-State Second Team... Averaged a career-high 15.2 points per game while shooting 42.6 percent from the floor... Also added 3.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.2 steals per game... Scored a career-high 29 points against N.C. A&T (12/30/19) thanks in part to a 14-for-16 performance from the free-throw line... Finished the season ranked in the top-40 of all players in the nation for free throws made (128).
2018-19 SOPHOMORE SEASON AT VCU
An All-Atlantic 10 First Team and VaSID All-State Second Team honoree... Was VCU’s leading scorer for the second straight season, dropping 12.5 points per game... Averaged 4.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.2 steals per game... Scored a career-high 28 points on 11-for-15 shooting against Delaware State (12/31/18).
2017-18 FRESHMAN SEASON AT VCU
Named to the A-10 All-Rookie Team... Led VCU in scoring, averaging 13.8 points per game... Second on team in rebounding with 5.8 rebounds per game...Scored a career-high 27 points against Duquesne... Had a career-high 16 rebounds vs. Richmond.
HIGH SCHOOL
Attended Life Center Academy in New Jersey... A team captain, averaged 16.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game... Scored 1,000 points as a junior in 2015-16... Played club for Books & Basketball and for Philly Belles.
NATIONAL TEAMS
Reed was a member of the New Zealand National Team in 2018 and 2020, helping the Tall Ferns win the 2018 William Jones Cup... Also played for New Zealand National Age Group teams... Competed for the U17 team in the 2013 FIBA U17 Oceania World Qualifiers and was co-captain of the 2016 U18 team that competed in the FIBA Oceania U18 Qualifiers in Fiji... In 2012, played for the U16 team at Australian State Championships... Named to 2013 FIBA Oceania U17 All-Star 5 and 2016 FIBA Oceania U17 All-Star 5...

Akiene-Tera Reed was born Sept. 24, 1998 in Tauranga, New Zealand... The daughter of Justine and O'ceen Reed... Has one brother, Jameer... Her mother, Justine, played basketball at San Diego from 1994-98... Lists playing in the 2021 NCAA Tournament as her most thrilling sports moment... Enjoys reading and being in nature in her free time... Says her mother is her biggest sports hero... Has always wanted to sky dive... Hopes to travel to Europe, Japan, Russia, Indonesia and the Pacific Islands... Would like to play professionally in Europe after graduation... Earned a bachelor’s in business management with a concentration in entrepreneurship at VCU... Is pursuing a master's degree in human resource management at USC.
