So Young Hwang, a 2015 junior college transfer who helped Daytona State to back-to-back national titles, is hard worker player looking to break through into the Trojans' lineup.
DAYTONA STATE
Hwang helped Daytona State win back-to-back NJCAA national titles as a 2014 sophomore and a 2013 freshman at Daytona State, earning All-American honors while climbing to a No. 2 individual ranking among the JUCO ranks as a sophomore .... At the 2014 NJCAA Championships, she tied for second at 3-over 223 (75-74-74). At the 2013 championship, she also tied for second at 6-over 294 (78-73-71-72).
HIGH SCHOOL
Hwang, from South Korea, attended the IMG Academy Leadbetter golf program in Brandenton, Fla. She won multiple junior titles there, including the first five of her career at the school in 2010 en route to 2010-11 IMG Junior Golf Tour Player of the Year honors in the Girls 15-18 category. She also won the 2012 Girls 15-18 Division of the IMG C.C. Junior Classic.
