Jackie Gilbert is a senior defender for the Women of Troy and will serve as a team captain.
2018
As a junior, Gilbert started all 18 games and was named to the IWLCA All-West/Midwest Region Second Team… Pac-12 All-Conference First Team choice… Pac-12 All-Academic First Team… Pac-12 All-Tournament Team… led the team with 86 draw controls and had four double-digit draw performances including a career-high 12 against Arizona State (April 21)… ranked third in the Pac-12 with 4.78 draw controls per game… picked up 25 ground balls and matched her career high with four against Stanford (March 25)… ranked third on the team with 22 caused turnovers and matched her career best with three caused turnovers in four separate contests… scored a goal in USC’s 19-2 win over Arizona State (April 21).
2017
As a sophomore, Gilbert started all 22 games for the Trojans… MPSF All-Academic selection… recorded 22 ground balls and caused 21 turnovers as one of USC’s primary creases defenders… picked up six draw controls… set a career high with four ground balls against Jacksonville in the first round of the NCAA tournament (May 12)… had a career-best three caused turnovers against Oregon (April 7).
2016
As a freshman, Gilbert appeared in 10 games and was sometimes brought in as a draw specialist… finished with 11 draw controls, seven ground balls, four caused turnovers, and two goals… had a breakout game in USC’s 20-3 win over Saint Mary’s College (March 20) with two goals (1-for-1 from free position), four draw controls, three ground balls, and two caused turnovers.
