THIS SEASON
Jamie Petrossi enters her final season at USC, boasting speed and playmaking abilities on the front line.
2008: Petrossi battled injury throughout her junior season, appearing in games against SMU and Cal State Bakersfield.
2007: Petrossi came back from offseason surgery and appeared in 13 games as a sophomore... Tallied an assist on USC[apos]s fifth goal against Weber State in the Trojans[apos] season opener.
2006: Petrossi appeared in all 21 games as a freshman, getting the starting nod for six games... Served up three assists on the year... First assist came on the game-winner against Harvard on Sept. 3... Had two assists in USC[apos]s win over Drake on Sept. 8.
HIGH SCHOOL: Petrossi was a four-year varsity player at Esperanza High in Anaheim, helping lead her team to the Sunset League championship as a senior... Named to the All-CIF first team and All-County and All-league first teams as a junior and as a senior... Was the Sunset League MVP her senior year and league[apos]s offensive MVP as a junior... Named to All-CIF third team and all-league second team as a sophomore... She was the top goal scorer in her career at Esperanza... A member of the [apos]87 State ODP team and [apos]87 Regional ODP team, which reached the semifinals... Played club with JUSA Select for four years and spent five years with SoCal Blues... Won the Cal South championship as an under-15, and was a Cal South finalist with her under-16 and under-18 teams.
PERSONAL: Petrossi is majoring in communications and minoring in marketing... Parents are Jim and JoAnn... Has one sister, Nicki, and one brother, Billy... Favorite movies are `Wedding Crashers[apos], `Finding Nemo[apos] and `Remember the Titans[apos]... Birthdate is Sept. 26, 1987.
