Bio
THIS SEASON: Olivia Ontjes is a 2019 senior who will again provide solid depth in the breaststroke and IM for the Trojans.
2018: Ontjes competed in the breaststroke and IM events for the Trojans early in the season as a 2018 junior but was sidelined much of the year due to injury.
2017: Ontjes competed in three events at the Pac-12 Championships as a 2017 sophomore, taking 20th in the 200y breast (2:16.14), 24th in the 100y breast (1:03.02) and 28th in the 200y IM (2:04.66). She also raced in four events at the Texas Invitational, highlighted by a 22nd in the 100y breast (1:04.03) ... She earned 2017 Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention honors.
2016: Ontjes provided depth for the Trojans in the breaststroke and IM as a 2016 freshman. She swam in four exhibition swims at the 2016 Pac-12 Championships, the 200y IM, 50y free and the 100y and 200y breast.
HIGH SCHOOL: Ontjes, who prepped at Raleigh Charter High School in Raleigh, N.C., holds the YMCA Long Course national record in the 50m breast ... Ontjes, who led her school to four straight state team titles, was a three-time North Carolina state champion in the 100y breast and won the 200y IM in 2015 (she was third in the race in 2014) and the 100y free in 2013. ... She raced in all breaststroke events at the 2014 U.S. National, highlighted by a 22nd in the 50m event (32.69) ... At the 2014 YMCA Long Course Nationals, she was first in the 200m breast (2:34.34), second in both the 50m and 100m breast and fourth in the 100m free. She had four top 5 finishes at the 2013 YMCA Nationals, including a win in the 50m breast (32.76).

PERSONAL: Ontjes was born Oct. 8, 1996 ... She is majoring in human biology with a minor in Spanish.
