2017-18 SEASON: Kristen Venter enters her junior season at USC.
2016-17 SEASON: Venter saw limited action, going 0-5 in singles and 0-1 in doubles with partner Sarah Teichner…In the Fall, competed in the UNLV Invitational, ITA Southwest Regional, Jack Kramer Invitational and the National Collegiate Tennis Classic…Member of USC’s ITA All-Academic Team.
2015-16 SEASON: Venter finished her freshman season seeing limited action for the Women of Troy…Went 2-7 overall in singles going 1-1 in dual matches…Played in the No. 6 position (1-1)…In doubles, went 0-1 overall with partner Paige Keating…In the fall, competed in the ITA Southwest Regionals, Jack Kramer Invitational and the National Collegiate Tennis Classic.
HIGH SCHOOL: Venter played tennis and ran cross country at ACS Cobham International School in London... Was named team MVP in both sports... Recorded as the third fastest female in school history... Earned a place on the leaderboard of the British Lawn Tennis Association during the 16-under winter season... Won two gold medals and one bronze in singles competition in the International Schools Sports Tournaments... Ranked in the top five in Surrey County as an 18-under in 2013-14... Won Pit Farm Junior Tournament as a 16-under... Reached Esher Junior Open final as a 16-under and the semifinals as an 18-under... Played club tennis at Reigate Lawn Tennis Club and St. George’s Hill Lawn Tennis Club... An honor student.
PERSONAL: Kristen Grace Venter was born Jan. 23, 1997 in Johannesburg, South Africa... Daughter of Sara and Robbie... Has one sister, Caitlin... Her father Robbie was a three-time All-American tennis player at UCLA and captain of the 1982 NCAA Championship team... Enjoys wildlife photography, travel and watching social and environmental documentaries in her free time... Has always wanted to go cage diving with sharks... Hopes to travel to Australia, Fiji, Bora Bora and Mozambique... Would like to travel around the world with her sister after graduation... Also works at Sony Music as a trend and talent spotter in digital media... Majoring in business administration and cinematic arts...Hopes to pursue a career in emerging markets while concentrating on wildlife conservation, specifically in Sub-Saharan Africa.
