Jasmine Gross is a senior middle blocker for the Women of Troy.

2018
As a junior, Gross started all 33 matches and played in all 125 sets… recorded 241 kills (1.93 kps, fourth on the team), hit .310 (team high), and led the Trojans with 141.0 blocks (12 solo blocks; 1.13 bps)… ranked 10th in the Pac-12 in blocks… also recorded 67 digs,  13 assists, and nine service aces… named to the Marquette Invitational All-Tournament Team… transferred to USC following two seasons (2016-17) at Pepperdine.

2017 PEPPERDINE
As a sophomore, Gross was named to the AVCA All-Pacific South Region Team… All-West Coast Conference first-team selection… ranked fourth in the NCAA for blocks per set (1.52 bps)… averaged 2.98 kills per set and hit .346… posted three double-doubles and had 21 matches in double-digit kills; five in double-digit blocks… played in 31 matches and led the Waves in blocks 21 times… WCC Player of the Week (Sept. 18)… set school record for single-season blocks with 179; a mark that had been set in 1992… broke rally-scoring era’s single-season block record and both the all-time and rally-scoring records for blocks per set… set new Pepperdine single-match hitting percentage record (.867, 13k, 0e, 15att) against San Francisco (Nov. 11).

As a freshman, Gross garnered All-West Coast Conference first-team and WCC All-Freshman honors… Pepperdine Scholar-Athlete… WCC Commissioner’s Honor Roll bronze honors… WCC Player of the Week (Oct. 30)… started in all 30 matches and played a total of 115 sets… finished the season with 154 blocks to set a rally-scoring single-season Pepperdine record… averaged 1.34 bps and set the Waves’ single-match blocking record with 15 bocks against Pacific (Oct. 29)… recorded her first-career double-double with 15 kills and 15 blocks in the match against Pacific… led team with a .293 hitting percentage (223k, 65e, 540att)… reached double-digit kills in five matches and had double-figure blocks in one.

Gross played for the Oregon Juniors Volleyball Academy (U16) and Excel NW (U16, U17, U18)… member of the Aloha Ball Beach Volleyball Club… helped lead Excel to a first-place finish in the Emerald City Classic and was named All-Tournament first team… on sand, played in the 2015 Hermosa Beach HP National Tourney and finished 19th with partner Brooke Van Sickle… placed second at Seaside Tournament with partner Nicole Peterson and first in Quads with Peterson, Ashley Watkins, and Grace Massey (U18).

Jasmine Julianne Gross was born on May 30, 1998, in Portland, Ore.… parents are Aaron Gross and Susan Campbell… has a younger sister named Mackenzie and a younger brother named Gavin… father Aaron is the head men’s tennis coach at University of Portland and mother Susan is the head women’s tennis coach at UP… father also runs a junior tennis program called The Academy and played collegiate tennis at both Texas and Washington… mother played tennis for four years and softball for one year at Oklahoma… uncle Scott Campbell played baseball at USC… lists NBA champion and all-star Kobe Bryant as her favorite pro athlete… favorite book is the Bible… enjoys hot yoga, cycling, photography, painting, and drawing… majoring in psychology.
