Noelle Pardo is a freshman defensive specialist and libero for the Women of Troy.
HIGH SCHOOL
Pardo was a four-year letterwinner as a libero at Bakersfield HS, in Bakersfield, Calif., under head coach Cathy Trent… served three years as a team captain… as a senior, had 19 matches over 20 digs including a season-high 48 digs in a five-set match against Highland HS… set a school record with 62 digs in a match as a junior… three-time first-team All-Southwest Yosemite League and three-time second-team All-Area selection… selected to the 2015 MaxPreps.com California All-State Team… three-time Scholar-Athlete Award winner… named the Southwest Yosemite League Rookie of the Year as a freshman… was also a letterwinner in swimming and diving as a freshman and sophomore… graduated with a 4.50 grade-point average and as Bakersfield’s valedictorian of the class of 2016.
CLUB VOLLEYBALL
Pardo played for Club Jamba in Bakersfield, Calif., under head coach Tom Clarke… helped her team to a first-place finish at the 2015 Junior National Championship in the American Division and was named to the All-Tournament Team… helped her team qualify for the 2013 and 2014 Junior National Championship National Division with a fifth-place finish in 2014… helped her team to an Open Division appearance in 2011.
PERSONAL
Noelle Ann-Mari Espalin Pardo was born on Dec. 8, 1997, in Orange, Calif.... parents are Suzanne Espalin Pardo and Rick Pardo... has one older sister Natalie and one younger brother Nicholas... both parents are Doctors of Medicine... mother Suzanne attended USC as an undergraduate and father Rick completed his medical residency and fellowship at USC... grandfather Charles Espalin graduated from and was a professor of psychology at USC... teamed with seven other students at Bakersfield to develop and run a campaign for cyber-bullying awareness, which became a resource for the 18 high schools in the Bakersfield School District... hobbies include piano, hiking, and reading... favorite books are The Book Thief by Markus Zusak and Brave New World by Aldous Huxley... majoring in environmental science and health.
