THIS SEASON: Mackenzie Flath enters her second season at USC.
2016: Flath scored 10 goals as a true freshman... Scored in four games with two multiple-goal outings, including a career-high six goals vs. Redlands... First career goals were scored at Whittier on Feb. 6... A member of the MPSF and NCAA Tournament rosters... Earned ACWPC All-Academic honors.
HIGH SCHOOL: Flath was a three-time all-North Coast Section honoree out of Monte Vista High in Danville, Calif.... Reached NCS final all four years, winning titles in 2011 and 2012... Scored the winning goal in double overtime to win the 2011 NCS championship... Earned All-East Bay first team honors as a senior... Also named to the 2014 All-East Bay All-Star Team... A two-time All-East Bay second team selection and earned honorable mention as a freshman... Played club for 680 Drivers and Diablo... An honor student.
PERSONAL: Flath is majoring in human biology with a minor in Spanish and hopes to pursue a career as a coroner... Parents are Steve and Yvette... Has one sister, Gillian... Her father Steve and uncle Pete Flath both were on the Chico State water ski team, winning state and national titles... Enjoys hanging out with her teammates, spending time at the beach and painting her nails in her free time... Lists Bethany Hamilton as her biggest sports hero...
