Stadler Leads USC At Windon-Memorial Classic

Lake Forest, Ill. - Kevin Stadler shot 217, including a low-round of 69, to lead the USC men's golf team to a seventh-place finish at Northwestern University's Windon-Memorial Classic in Lake Forest, Ill., on Tuesday (Oct. 5).
Stadler, a sophomore, finished tied for fifth in the individual competition, eight strokes behind champion Luke Donald (209) of Northwestern. Kent's Ben Curtis (214) and Minnesota's James McLean (214) finished second, followed by Kent's Danny Sahl (215).
For the Trojans, junior Nick Jones (225) finished in 27th place, freshman David Oh (227) finished in 36th place, senior Nick Webb (229) finished in 46th place and sophomore John Ray Leary (232) finished in 52nd place.
USC, Duke and North Florida all shot 894 to finish in seventh-place. Kent won the team championship with a score of 877, folowed by Northwestern (881), Stanford (882), Washington (888) and Toledo (889).
The Trojans next travel to Dallas, Tex., on Oct. 11-12 (Monday-Tuesday) to compete in the "Taylor Made Red River" hosted by the University of Oklahom and the University of Texas.
