Scalabrine Named Pac-10 Player of the Week

LOS ANGELES - Junior forward/center Brian Scalabrine has been named the Pacific-10 Conference Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 6-12.
It is his first such honor and the 18th overall for the Trojans.
Scalabrine earned the honor for his efforts in blowout wins over Hawaii and Loyola Marymount. He averaged 17.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists in the two wins. In the game against the Lions, he recorded his first double-double of the season (and second of his career) with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
It is the first Player of the Week honor for USC since Gary Johnson won the award in the final week of the 1997-98 season.
