LOS ANGELES - USC men?s basketball senior forward Jarvis Turner, the team?s top reserve, will miss approximately four to six weeks while recovering from a stress fracture in his foot, USC Coach Henry Bibby announced today.
?Losing Jarvis Turner is a serious blow to the team,? Bibby said. ?He brings so much to the court and can fill in at just about any position. His loss limits our versatility on the court and we will also miss his senior leadership.?
Turner, who suffered the injury during USC?s preseason, played in only three games this season while nursing his foot. He averaged 2.3 points per game in limited action because of the injury.
Turner has 23 career starts to his credit.
USC (3-4) next plays Hawai?i on Wednesday (Dec. 8) at the Sports Arena at 7 p.m.
