LOS ANGELES - Junior midfielder Isabelle Harvey's goal in the 71st minute helped USC to a 1-1 exhibition draw at Loyola Marymount on Tuesday.
The scrimmage consisted of three 30-minute periods, followed by a 15-minute overtime.
LMU scored first in the 55th minute, as Julie Prunk's shot hit the crossbar and rebounded to Jill Dobens, who drove it home. USC was largely playing with its second string at the time.
The Women of Troy evened the score as freshman forward Jennifer Prigmore made a nice move along the right side to work herself free, passed the ball into the middle for sophomore forward Christy Callier, who immediately found Harvey near the left side of the net.
USC turned up the pressure and finished with a 13-7 shot advantage, but the game ended in a tie.
The Women of Troy open the 1999 regular season on Sunday (Aug. 29) against UC Irvine at the Coliseum at 1 p.m.
