Columbus, Ohio – The USC women's soccer team dropped a Big Ten Conference decision to No. 8 Ohio State, falling 2-0 to the Buckeyes on the road.

Ohio State outshot the Trojans 20-10, putting 13 on frame. Trojans goalkeeper Josie Biehl recorded a career-high 11 saves.

USC falls to 1-6-3 overall and 0-3-1 in Big Ten action. Meanwhile the Buckeyes improve to 7-1-1 and 3-1-1 in conference play.

The Buckeyes struck first when forward Amanda Schlueter immediately took advantage of an early USC turnover and put away the breakaway opportunity, giving Ohio State a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute of play. The Buckeyes doubled in the 32nd minute when Mia Stevens' through ball found Schlueter in behind the USC back line before the Ohio State striker tucked her second goal of the night into the bottom right corner. Stevens and Ohio State forward Sydney Bering tallied an assist on the goal.
