LOS ANGELES - USC freshman midfielder Ali Fennell has been named the Pac-10 Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the second straight week, the conference announced today.
Fennell scored both of USC's goals in a 2-1 win over then-No. 8 BYU last Friday. It was the first multi-goal game of Fennell's collegiate career.
Last week, she received the honor after scoring the game-winning goal in overtime against UConn and assisting on the game-winner against Portland.
Fennell leads USC in points with eight (on three goals and two assists).
USC (5-1) heads to east this weekend (Sept. 24-26) to take part in the Duke Adidas Classic, where the Women of Troy will play the host Blue Devils and 15-time NCAA champion North Carolina.
Additionally, USC continues to climb in the polls, as it is tied for No. 7 in the NSCAA rankings (its highest-ever ranking).
