USC Men's Golf Struggles In Santa Cruz

SAN JOSE-- - The USC men's golf team, struggling without squadmembers Kevin Stadler and David Oh, finished tied for 15th at the 54th annual Western Intercollegiate held at Pasatiempo Golf Club in Santa Cruz, Calif., this past Monday and Tuesday (April 3-4).
The Trojans shot 882 overall, 44 strokes behind tournament champion Fresno State (838). Pepperdine (845), Kansas (857), Oregon (859) and Long Beach State (864) rounded out the top five.
Individually for USC, Nick Jones, John Ray Leary and Alex Kuyumjian tied for 43rd as each shot a 10 over par 220 to lead the Trojans. Nick Webb shot 224 and tied for 70th, while Chris Botsford shot 229 and tied for 89th.
The Trojans next travel to Tempe to take part in the ASU Thunderbird Invitational on April 15-16.
