USC improves to 17-6 overall and 7-4 in conference, Arizona State falls to 11-12 and 3-9.

The Trojans shot a season low 45 field goal attempts, while ASU shot a USC opponent season-high 71 field goal attempts.

USC, which entered the game second in the Pac-10 in field goal percentage defense in games played in conference, held ASU to 33.8% shooting from the field.

USC has now won nine of the last 12 meetings versus ASU, plus five straight at the Sports Arena.

With his 23 points, David Bluthenthal now has 770 career points, giving every Trojan in the starting lineup at least 750 career points.

Brian Scalabrine's 26 points was his most since also scoring 26 points versus BYU last Dec. 23. He now has 25 games of 20 or more points in his career.

With his two three pointers today, Brandon Granville is now fourth on USC's career three point chart with 146.
