Post Game Quotes From USC Coach Henry Bibby
"(Before I start talking about the game) I want to say one thing. I'm here to stay at USC and I'm very happy here. This is where I want to be. I'm not looking at any other school.
"Everyone had written us off. They said we hadn't played hard and that we had hit the wall. We have a very good team. You saw how good we can be. We took the No. 1 team to a six second ball game. Other than not getting of the last shot, we played very well. I'm proud of my team. They hung in there.
(On not having any time outs for the last nine minutes)
"In that situation, with the last possession, there are a lot of scenarios. I wouldn't have called a time out anyway, even if we had one. We pushed the ball up the court, but we just didn't get a shot off.
"Desmon Farmer was playing very well in the second half. Jeff (Trepagnier) got winded. He played very well in the first half. I just wanted to see what Desmon could do in the second half.
"We knew they were good. We respected them. We knew we had to play a perfect game to beat them.
"It's very unfortunate our fans would do that, throwing something on the court. That's the second game they've done that. It could have been the difference in the game. I think it's time to put some pressure on the fans."
Post Game Quotes From Stanford Coach Mike Montgomery
"A win is a win. We're very happy right now. USC gave us as hard a game as we've played all year up at our place and they did the same thing here. They made us earn it. But we got a ?W,' and now there is three games left. The UCLA game on Saturday is going to be a tough game for us.
(On how USC came back from 16 points down to make it close)
"They're a good basketball team. We missed some shots and some free throws. They made a real nice comeback and we didn't shoot the ball well late. They are very athletic and played tough defense against us.
(On whether Casey Jacobsen showed he is a valid candidate for Pac-10 Player of the Year)
"Casey's never mentioned winning Player of the Year. We don't care about that stuff. We play team basketball. We're a team. We don't think like you people down here (in Los Angeles).
"There's five good teams in the conference, so I think there will be five teams that go to the NCAA tournament."
