
USC Men's Volleyball Falls At No. 2 Hawaii

Despite a match-best 27 kills by USC's Brook Billings, the No. 2-ranked Hawaii men's volleyball team beat the No. 4 Trojans, 30-26, 25-30, 30-23, 30-18, in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match on Friday (March 16) before 4,698 fans in Honolulu.
USC fell to 10-5 overall and 9-5 in the MPSF, while the Rainbows improved to 14-3 and 9-2.
Costas Theocharidis led Hawaii with 23 kills while hitting .404 and he added 9 blocks and a match-best 8 digs. Brenton Davis had 10 kills and Dejan Miladinovic hit .636 and had 14 blocks, both match highs.
For USC, Eli Fairfield added 12 kills, Miles McGann had 7 digs, Donny Killian served 4 aces and Billings had 6 digs.
The Rainbows outhit the Trojans, .284 to .143, and also had more blocks, 19.5 to 7.0.
USC next goes to No. 6 Pepperdine for an MPSF match on Tuesday (March 20) at 7 p.m.
