
Trojans Fall To Rebels In Overtime 92-83

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Demetrius Hunter scored 21 points and Romel Beck had 20 as UNLV defeated USC 92-83 in overtime Wednesday night.
The Rebels (4-1) overcame a 75-68 deficit with a 7-0 run in the final 1:07 of regulation, as Jerel Blasingame hit a 10-foot jumper with 3.1 seconds left to tie the score at 75.
Blasingame's six points led UNLV in overtime and Beck added five in the extra period.
Jeff McMillan led the Trojans (1-2) with 20 points, and Errick Craven had 17.
The Rebels hit 50 percent of their attempts from behind the 3-point line (13-for-26), and were 32-for-57 (56.1 percent) overall from the field.
UNLV's Odartey Blankston had a game-high 12 rebounds, all at the defensive end. USC's McMillan pulled down 11.
The Rebels led 41-39 at halftime, thanks to 14 points by Beck, who hit 5-of-8 field goals in the first half.
Neither team led by more than two points in the first 16 minutes of the second half.
The Trojans took a 69-65 lead with 3:57 to go on a tip-in by McMillan.
