The No. 6 Pacific men's volleyball team swept USC 30-28, 30-27, 30-23 in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match on Saturday, Mar. 29, at the Alex G. Spanos Center.
With the victory, the Tigers improved to 16-10 overall and 10-7 in MPSF action. USC fell to 6-21 overall (2-16 MPSF).
The Tigers were led by sophomore Brian Zodrow (Kaneohe, Hawai'i), who tallied 13 kills and hit .455. Junior Sean Rodgers (Fresno, Calif.) added 10 kills, while seniors Aaron Wachtfogel (Redondo Beach, Calif.) and Martin Berntsen (Naustsal, Norway) had nine kills apiece. Senior Chris Tamas tallied 37 assists.
The Trojans were led by Mark Dusharme, who had 12 kills. Joao Grangeiro added nine kills for USC.
As a team, Pacific outhit USC .303-.192 on the evening.
