
Mellouli, Masson Post Wins In Loss At Arizona

Senior Ous Mellouli won three races while junior Sam Masson was also victorious, but the No. 8 USC men's swimming and dive team fell at No. 5 Arizona, 138-103, in its Pac-10 dual meet opener in Tucson, Ariz., on Friday (Nov. 18).
Mellouli won the 1000y free (9:06.16), 200y IM (1:48.91, NCAA consideration) and the 500y free (4:30.22) while Masson won the 200y fly (1:48.57).
Junior Sean Sussex was second in the 50y free (20.85), sophomore Brandon Lovell finished behind Masson in the 200y fly (1:51.87), junior Viktor Bodrogi was second in the 200y back (1:46.37, NCAA consideration), junior Mihaly Flaskay was second in the 200y breast (2:02.09) and junior diver Kenny Jenkins was second on 1-meter (288.20) and 3-meter (302.15).
USC swims at Arizona State at noon on Saturday (Nov. 19).
