
USC Men's Volleyball Signs Three More Recruits

Three top high school players--Luke Morris, Matthew Pavlovich and Chris Ceballos--have signed letters of intent with the USC men's volleyball team.
Morris, from Laguna Beach (Calif.) High, made the 2005 All-CIF Division II first team and Orange County Register All-Orange County first team as a senior. He also was a 2004 All-CIF Division II first teamer as a junior.
Pavlovich, from Santa Margarita High in Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.), was on the 2005 All-CIF Division I third team and Orange County Register All-Orange County second team as a senior.
Ceballos from St. Bernard High in Playa del Rey (Calif.), made the 2005 All-CIF Division V first team as a senior. In 2004 as a junior, he was a South Bay Daily Breeze All-South Bay second team and All-Camino Real League first team selection while recording 213 kills, 111 digs, 41 blocks and 37 aces. He is the cousin of ex-NBA player Cedric Ceballos and the nephew of renowned hula master Keali'i Ceballos. He participates in competitive hula dancing and also played basketball at St. Bernard.
The trio joins fall signees Christopher (C.J.) Schellenberg of Loyola High in Los Angeles (Calif.) and Hunter Haley of Mira Costa High in Manhattan Beach (Calif.).
Schellenberg, a 6-7 opposite hitter, recently was named the 2005 Mizuno/Volleyball Magazine All-American Player of the Year and All-CIF Division I Player of the Year as a senior as Loyola won its third consecutive CIF Division I title. As a 2004 junior, he made the All-CIF Division I first team and Los Angeles Times All-Star second team. He was a member of the 2004 U.S. Junior National Team and 2003 U.S. Boys' Youth National Team. He also won three gold medals at the USA Boy's Junior Olympics Open, including in 2004.
Haley, a setter, is the son of USC women's volleyball head coach Mick Haley.
