Lim Leads Trojans At Prestige

Sophomore Steve Lim finished a USC career-best tied for third while the Trojans tied for fourth overall after the final round of the 2009 The Prestige at PGA West in La Quinta, Calif.
The No. 9 Trojans finished at 8-over 862 (294-287-291), tied with UCLA. TCU ran away with the event at 14-under 850. Stanford was second (866) and Washington was third (869).
Lim was 1-over after the front nine on Tuesday, but caught fire on the back 9 with four birdies and five pars to finish 3-under for the round and 4-under for the tournament at 212 (72-71-69). It was the fifth time as a Trojan he carded 212 or better.
Freshman Martin Trainer tied for 18th at 3-over 219 (74-71-74) while freshman Sam Smith tied for 37th at 8-over 224 (73-78-73).
Junior Matt Giles tied for 42nd at 9-over 225 (75-73-77) while junior Bo DeHuff tied for 47th at 10-over 226 (79-72-75).
Playing individually, junior Daniel Park tied for 14th overall at 2-over 218 (74-71-73) while freshman T.J. Vogel tied for 31st (77-71-74). Freshman Stewart Hagestad tied for 42nd at 9-over 225 (73-80-72).
