Former Trojan All-American Roger Tambellini secured a 2010 PGA Tour card at the season-ending Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island in Charleston, S.C., by finishing among the year's top-25 money winners.
The 34-year old Tambellini, who played at USC from 1995-97, finished ninth on the Nationwide Tour's money list. He won one event (Ford Wayne Gretzky Classic) and had four top-10 finishes.
He has played in 53 PGA Tour events in his career with a best finish of a tie for 14th at the 2004 BellSouth Classic.
"The Nationwide Tour is full of talent and aggressive players," Tambellini said. "This year I learned how to practice, and how much, so that when I step onto the first tee I am looking for birdies. Everyone says the Nationwide Tour is just like the PGA TOUR but on a smaller scale and that statement couldn't be more true."
