Trainer Leads USC At Ping/Golfweek Invitational

Freshman Martin Trainer tied for 12th to lead the USC men's golf team on the final day of the PING/Golfweek Invitational on Monday (Sept. 28) at the Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Wash.
USC finished seventh at 33-over 897 (305-287-305). Oklahoma State, the round 1 and 2 leader, held on for a 22-stroke win at 2-under 862. The next closest team was Washington at 20-over 884.
Trainer tied for 12th at 6-over 222 (74-72-76) while fellow freshman T.J. Vogel tied for 27th at 9-over 225 (77-74-74). Sophomore Steve Lim tied for 32nd at 11-over 227 (77-74-76), junior Matt Giles tied for 36th at 12-over 228 (77-69-82) and freshman Sam Smith tied for 43rd at 14-over (79-72-79).
