DALLAS — The USC Men's Golf Team fired the lowest round of the day and now sits in first place out of 17 teams after the second round of the Trinity Forest Invitational, held at the Trinity Forest Golf Club on Oct. 5.
The Trojans fired a 14-under 274 on the par-72, 7,617-yard track, which tied UNLV's first round for the lowest round of the tournament so far. USC began the day in second place, took the lead early on the front side and battled with UNLV before extending its lead on the back side. USC has a five-stroke lead over No. 19 East Tennessee State heading into the final day.
Individually, all five Trojans are under par heading into the final round. Four out of the five Trojans fired rounds under par in round two to help the team take the lead.

Gill birdied two of his first three holes and added five more birdies the rest of his round, including four on the back side.
