Trojan Diving Invite Set For Friday, Saturday

Junior All-Americans Victoria Ishimatsu and Harrison Jones and sophomore Ariel Rittenhouse, a 2010 NCAA scorer and 2008 Olympian, will be among the divers competing this weekend for USC as it hosts its annual Trojan Diving Invitational, Friday and Saturday (Nov. 5-6) at the USC McDonald's Swim Stadium.
Joining USC in the diving pool will be Arizona, California, Air Force, Wisconsin and UCLA.
Action begins Friday at 10 a.m. with the men's 1-meter prelim and the women's 3-meter prelim. Finals for both events start at 11:30 a.m. The men's and women's platform is scheduled for 2:15 p.m. On Saturday, the men's 3-meter and women's 1-meter prelims begin at 10 a.m. with finals starting at 11:30 a.m.
As a 2010 sophomore, Ishimatsu was a two-time All-American in the 1-meter (fifth) and 3-meter springboard (fourth). She also won titles on both springboard events at the Pac-10 and the Zone E Championships.
Jones, a 2009 All-American, won a 2010 Pac-10 title on 1-meter and was second on platform, an event he won in 2009. Senior Steven Starks, a three-time NCAA Championships competitor and an eight-time Pac-10 finalist, will also be in action on the men's side, as will senior Greg Miller.
Rittenhouse was a 2010 NCAA Championship participant who scored on 3-meter with a 12th-place finish. She was also second on 1-meter at the Pac-10 Championships and third on third on 3-meter.
Joining Ishimatsu and Rittenhouse on the women's side will be juniors Michela Fossati-Bellani and Christine Petrilli. Fossati-Bellani was a two-time Pac-10 finalist in 2010, taking sixth on 3-meter and seventh on platform, and she also competed at the Zone E Championships. Petrilli competed in all three specialties at the Pac-10s, highlighted by a 14th on platform.
