Trojan Diving Invitational Day 1 Results in PDF Format
Trojan junior Harrison Jones swept the men's 1-meter and platform while USC junior Victoria Ishimatsu won the women's 3-meter and UCLA's Laura Winn took the women's platform on the first day of the Trojan Diving Invitational on Friday (Nov. 5) at USC's McDonald's Swim Stadium.
Jones performed well to kick off the diving season, claiming first on 1-meter with a score of 363.15. Senior teammate Steven Starks was second (345.20) while Wisconsin's Michael Ross was third (317.85). USC senior Greg Miller was fourth (288.75).
On platform, Jones, a 2009 All-American and a two-time Pac-10 champion, won with a 376.70, edging second-place Starks (357.20) again. California's Bobby Sullivan was third (246.70) and Miller was fourth (242.20).
Ishimatsu earned her first place with a 284.85 on 3-meter, squeaking by Arizona's Ainsley Oliver, who was second with 278.10. Oliver's Wildcat teammate, Samantha Pickens, was third (275.00). Trojan sophomore Ariel Rittenhouse was 10th (246.90) while junior Michela Fossati-Bellani was 15th (222.10).
On platform, Winn won with a 268.45, edging Bruin teammate Karina Silva (249.70). Oliver was third (238.90).
The women's 1-meter and men's 3-meter is schedule for Saturday with prelims at 10 a.m. and finals at 11:30 a.m.s
