USC, Lim Earn Golfweek.com Honors

USC men's golf and Steve Lim, on the heels of their titles last week at the Gifford Collegiate Championship, were named Golfweek.com's Team and Player of the Week, respectively, the site announced Monday (Nov. 7).
Lim, a senior, won his first collegiate title with an 11-under 202 (66-67-69), edging 2011 Player of Year Patrick Cantlay of UCLA by one stroke.
His strong play throughout the week led the Trojans to their first team win of the season. USC finished at 8-under 1057 (348-361-352), four better than the Bruins. In addition to Lim's strong play, sophomore Jeffrey Kang claimed sixth at even 213 (68-76-69) as all six players finished in the top 20.
