Ree Races To Share Of Lead At Annika Intercollegiate First Tound

Junior Robynn Ree raced to a share of first to lead the No. 5 USC women's golf team on the first day of the 2017 ANNIKA Intercollegiate at the Olympic Hills G.C. in Eden Prairie, Minn., on Sunday (Oct. 1).
The Trojans, the two-time defending champions of the event but at a new course this year, finished the first round at 11-over 299, 11 back of first-place Arkansas.
Ree, a two-time collegiate winner, earned a share of the lead with a seven-birdie day against three bogeys. She was 2-under going out and 2-under coming home, joining Stanford's Mika Liu in a tie for first, two ahead of a three-way tie for third.
Sophomore Allisen Corpuz is tied for 29th at 4-over 76, including a 1-over back 9, while freshman Alyaa Abdulghany is tied for 37th at 5-over 77.
Sophomore Muni He, who tied for first in USC's season opener which was also in Minnesota, is tied for 43rd at 6-over 78 while sophomore Divya Manthena is tied for 49th at 8-over 80 in the 60-woman field.
