Trojans will compete individually only with Abulghany, Corpuz, Manthena.
The No. 14 USC women's golf team, which won its season opener at the Minnesota Invitational, will send a partial squad to the Pac-12 Preview at Nanea, Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 23-24), in Kona, Hawaii.
USC won its season-opener, taking the Minnesota Invitational at 26-under 838 (282-276-280) for a nine-shot win. The Trojans' 26-under performance was their third-most under par total in a 54-hole tournament.
Sophomore Muni He tied for first at 10-under 206 (70-67-69), which is tied for fifth most under par in program history. Junior Robynn Ree tied for third at 8-under 208 (71-68-69).
He and Ree, both All-Americans last year, lead the Trojans' small five-woman roster. The only other returning Trojan is sophomore Allisen Corpuz, who tied for 17th in the opener.
USC 22nd-year coach Andrea Gaston welcomed two new Trojans in freshman Alyaa Abdulghany and sophomore transfer Divya Manthena, who tied for 14th and 46th, respectively, in their Trojan debuts.
Up next in Hawaii, however, the Trojans will be without their leaders in stroke average Ree and He, who are competing in the second stage of the LPGA's Q School. Consequently, USC's trio of Corpuz, Abdulghany and Manthena will compete individually in the 54-hole event.
Corpuz and Abdulghany are tied for third on the squad in stroke average at 72.67 while Manthena has averaged 76.50 in her first two tournaments.
