Cameron Henry and Charlie Reiter will bolster strong Trojan squad.
Charlie Reiter of Palm Desert, Calif., one of the top junior golfers in the world, and Cameron Henry, from Los Gatos, Calif., ranked among the top juniors in California, have signed National Letters of Intent with USC, Trojan Men's Golf Head Coach Chris Zambri announced today.
Â
"Charlie and Cameron are super talented players," Zambri said. "They both hit the ball hard, but unlike some of the longer young golfers, they both have great short games. They will have a big impact on our team immediately. Another thing I love about these guys is that they are fired up to be Trojans."
Â
Reiter, who attends Palm Desert (Calif.) High, is ranked No. 31 in Golfweek's world rankings and No. 19 in his graduating class and is ranked No. 40 in Junior Golf Scoreboard's overall world rankings. He is a 2017 U.S. Amateur and 2017 U.S. Junior Amateur qualifier who has had a strong year with wins at the AJGA Callaway Junior Classic and the SCPGA Toyota Tour Cup Morongo and a second at the AJGA Mission Hills Desert Junior. He posted three big wins in 2016 at the SCPGA Toyota Tour Cup, the Aaron Baddeley International Junior and at the CIF Championships. He started posting notable wins at the age of 10.
Â
Henry, who preps at Los Gatos (Calif.) High, had a standout 2016 junior season with top 6 finishes at the Western Junior Championship, the NCGA Northern Cal Players Championships, the AJGA Enagic Junior Championships and the U.S. Junior Amateur Qualifier. In 2015, he posted top 7 finishes at the AJGA L.A. Junior Open, the AJGA ClubCorp Mission Hills, the PGA Junior Series at Bayonet, the NGCA Players Championship and the U.S. Junior Amateur qualifier.
