Orange County prep star is a CIF champion
Sixian (Tyler) Guo, from Irvine, Calif., and one of the top amateurs in the state, has signed a National Letter of Intent with the Trojans, USC Men's Golf Head Coach Chris Zambri announced today.

"Tyler is a great pick up for our team," Zambri said. "He is an extremely dedicated golfer who works hard daily to get better and better. He has also shown an ability to win having captured the two biggest high school events in California this past high school season." Â

Guo, the 2018 Orange County Register Golf Athlete of the Year who preps at Crean Lutheran High in Irvine, has posted 10 top 10 finishes and 13 in the top 15 in the last two years of amateur play, including a pair of 2017 wins on the SCPGA Toyota Tour at Oak Valley and Olivas Links.

He tied for eighth this year at the 2018 SCPGA Toyota Tour Cup Invitational as well as at the AJGA Lizette Salas Junior Championship. Guo, in May, won the CIF-Southern Section Southern Individual Regional, the SCGA So Cal Championship and the CIF State title.Â
