No. 15 USC Returns Home with Bay Area Foes in Tow

The Women of Troy begin the back half of the Pac-12 schedule as hosts to Cal and No. 16 Stanford at McAlister Field
LOS ANGELES – The 15th-ranked USC lacrosse team (6-4, 4-1 Pac-12) opens the back half of the Pac-12 schedule with home games against California (4-7, 0-5) on Friday (March 30) and No. 16 Stanford (7-3, 4-1) on Sunday (April 1) at McAlister Field. Both games will be broadcast live on the Pac-12 Network, Pac-12 Los Angeles, and Pac-12 Bay Area.
The Trojans met both of these teams to close the front half of the Pac-12 schedule, which includes a home-and-away meeting with each member of the newly formed conference. In USC's trip to the Bay Area, it defeated Cal, 10-5, in Berkeley, Calif., but gave up five straight goals to the Cardinal in a 12-11 overtime loss in Stanford, Calif.
USC's win over the Golden Bears was the 75th-career victory for sixth-year head coach Lindsey Munday (75-34 overall). The Trojans' loss to Stanford halted a 22-game conference winning streak which dated back to 2016 and included 18 wins as part of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation. The game with the Cardinal was also USC's fourth overtime game this season. Previously, USC had played five overtime games in the five preceding seasons combined.
Senior All-American defender Lydia Sutton (22gb, 13ct) and All-Region senior goalie Gussie Johns (8.35 gaa, .509) lead the Trojans' defense. Midfielder Kerrigan Miller's (21g, 5a, 28dc, 27ct, 17gb) all-around game leads the attack. Johns, Miller, and Sutton are each on the Tewaaraton Award's Watch List.
After graduating over 200 goals from 2017, USC turns to Kaeli Huff (16g, 2a), and Emily Concialdi (8g, 3gb), on the attack. Jackie Gilbert runs the center circle (38dc). Among newcomers, Kelsey Huff (13g, 2a), Izzy McMahon (16g, 7a), and Maeve McMahon (11g, 10a, 30dc) have made immediate impacts. Sophia Donovan has also been a recent spark with her seven goals (4gb, 2ct).
