USC Ties For Third At Western Intercollegiate, Suh Takes 4th

Suppa ties for 17th for third top 20 of season.
Junior Justin Suh finished fourth at 8-under 202, two off the lead, while sophomore Kyle Suppa tied for 16th at 1-under 209 to lead the USC men's golf team on during the final day of the Western Intercollegiate at the Pasatiempo G.C. in Santa Cruz, Calif., on Sunday (April 8).
The Trojans tied for third at 2-over 1052 in the six-play, five-count format, 16 back of winner North Carolina, six behind second-place California.
Suh's 8-under 202 (67-68-67) was good for his eighth top 10 finish in nine events this year. It was also his 14th top 20 finish in his last 15 events dating back to last season, 12 of which have been inside the top 9, 13 in the top 11.
Suh also now has 17 rounds in the 60s this season in 26 rounds, 19 rounds under par and 22 rounds of par or better. His final round Sunday featured five birdies and he completed his second round (carried over from Saturday's shortened day) with four birdies.
Suppa's 1-under 209 (69-69-71) was good for his third top 20 this season. He had five birdies in the tournament against just three bogeys and one double over 54 holes.
Freshman Kaito Onishi tied for 26th at 2-over 212 (72-69-71) while freshman Issei Tanabe tied for 56th at 8-over 218 (72-70-76).
Sophomore Ryan Slater tied for 58th at 9-over 219 (72-74-73) and junior Sam Kim tied for 70th at 12-over 222 (75-79-68).
USC is off until hosting the Pac-12 Championships, April 23-25, at the Rolling Hills C.C.
