Justin Suh, the 2018 Pac-12 champion and five-time winner this season who is again ranked No. 1 in the country, is among 30 semifinalists for the Jack Nicklaus Player of the Year Award it was announced today.

Division I finalists for the award will be named May 24 with the winner announced May 31 with the honor presented by Jack Nicklaus at a ceremony during the final round of the Memorial Tournament.

In addition to receiving the Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year Award, the five recipients will compete in the Barbasol Shootout for an exemption into the PGA TOUR's Barbasol Championship, held July 16-22, at the Champions at Keene Trace in Lexington, Ky. The Barbasol Shootout will be held Saturday, June 2 at the Scioto Country Club in Columbus, Ohio.

Suh is coming off of his fifth title this season when he won the Pac-12 Championships at 16-under 268 (68-64-65-71), his eighth top 4 finish in his last nine outings and his ninth top 9 this year.

He now has 20 rounds under 70 this season, the most at Troy since Jamie Lovemark's 20 in 2007. He also boasts 22 rounds under par and 26 of par or better.

Suh has lowered his season stroke average to 68.47, well under the USC record set by Lovemark in 2007 (70.10).

Suh is also among 10 semifinalists for the 2018 Ben Hogan Award, has been among the top 3 all season on the 2018 Haskins Award Watch List, and has been named to the Palmer Cup Team.
